Our Founder
Ray
Cottrell, Sr. opened Ray's Ford in 1977.
Since then he has based his dealership's business
philosophy on the principles of integrity,
honesty, and customer satisfaction. These
ideals are an integral part of how Ray's Ford
does business, and each employee at Ray's understands
this.
Prior
to starting this dealership, Ray Cottrell served
as a Command Sergeant Major in the United States
Army. Ray’s service included duty
in the Korean War, the Berlin Airlift, the Cuban
missile crisis, seven years in Europe, and two
tours in Viet Nam. Ray’s most
significant decorations include 3 Silver
Stars, 6 Bronze Stars with V Device, 7 commendations
with V Device, the Combat Infantry Badge with
Star and the Purple Heart.
Ray has insured his business has been an active
participant of the community since the beginning.
Car washes, yard sales, heart association fund
raisers, muscular dystrophy fund raisers, church
picnics, sponsoring youth ball teams- these
have always been an important part of the Ray's
Ford family.
